ask_lissa, an advice journal run by everyone's favorite little penguin queen/gender-bending boy scout/advice giving doctor, melissa_chan.
So, what exactly isask_lissa? Well, one day, in the midst of self-discovery, Melissa (that would be me--I'm just talking in the third person for some reason ^^;;) realized that she had a knack for giving advice. And so, she took on the titles of "Date Doctor Melissa" and "Lissa the Love Doctor", as she specialized in giving relationship advice at the time. She now uses the titles of "Social Advisor" and would even go as far as calling herself a "Life Counselor" (or maybe I'm just conceited... who knows? ^^;;)
What sort of things can you ask Melissa about? Well, you can ask her about just about anything. You are entitled to your anonymousity, and you can say as little or as much as you want.
How do you ask Melissa for advice? Well, that's really quite simple! All you have to do is leave a comment on the most recent post, stating your problem. You can either post a comment under a livejournal username, or anonymously. If posting anonymously, it would be appreciated if you could comment under a pseudonym so that Melissa can identify you when answering your question. If posting under a livejournal username, you can request that your response be made in a friends only post so that it is unavailable to the public or she can leave you a comment on your livejournal with her response to your question. A post will be made with Melissa's response to your problem. According to the amount of questions Melissa gets, it may take a while for Melissa to get to your question. But fret not, for she will get to your question eventually.
Also, you should know that Melissa is only an advisor. That is to say that she cannot be held responsible if things do not work out right. After all, she is not the person who did the action; you are. Additionally, as an advisor, Melissa is entitled to tell you the truth. Sometimes the truth may hurt, and if you are asking Melissa for advice, you should be mature enough to not take anything that she might say seriously. It is only the truth.
That's really all you need to know! Convinced? Then start asking! Melissa is ready and willing to listen and answer. ^^
